Postdoc (gn*) Regenerative Musculoskeletal Medicine

Limited to 3 years | Full-time with 38,5 hours/week | Salary according to TV-L E13 | Institute for Musculoskeletal Medicine (IMM) | Department of Regenerative Musculoskeletal Medicine | Job ID: 10903

This is a translational group entertaining a close connection between biomedical basic research and clinical studies. We are looking for a scientist to support a DFG project aiming for a new biodegradable implant material to stabilize long bone fractures. The project is an international cooperation of basic, clinical and materials scientists in Germany and Austria (WEAVE-program) - ideally with you on board!


Working with in vivo and in vitro models for musculoskeletal diseases
Presentation of results in both written and oral format and delivery of completed reports within an international and multidisciplinary team environment


Doctoral degree in life sciences, veterinary medicine or related fields
Successful postdoctoral research in the area bone and musculoskeletal biology including excellent publication record
Relevant experience with in vivo models (mice/rats) for musculoskeletal applications
Communication (German, English) and organizational skills to work in an interdisciplinary team environment


A multidisciplinary and committed research team within a successful translational working group
A thorough introduction in all the skills needed accompanied by supervision and guidance to develop oneself within a fascinating research field
A state-of-the-art laboratory to manage project related challenges
Support of new research ideas beyond the existing research program
