The Planning and Realization (PuR) business unit manages ZDF's IT landscape and creates the technological and infrastructural conditions for all the important processes of a modern media company. With a few exceptions, we design and implement all of ZDF's technical systems, from television studios to on-premise and cloud infrastructures to enterprise and business applications. We are looking for a Cloud Architect to join our team. If you have experience in designing and implementing modern cloud solutions, we look forward to receiving your application! Cloud architect Full or part-time (38.50 hours), permanent The vacant position can also be filled by two part-time employees. The working time model will be determined in consultation. Your tasks You will develop scalable and modern cloud architectures that serve as the technological basis for innovative IT solutions in a modern media company You will primarily work with the Google Cloud Platform (GCP), but also use AWS or Azure depending on the project You analyze existing IT infrastructures and develop well-founded migration strategies to transfer systems to the cloud securely, efficiently and sustainably You advise internal teams and customers on cloud technologies, architecture principles and best practices - and support them in implementing sustainable and high-performance solutions You ensure that cloud solutions are scalable, secure and performant by applying modern architecture principles, security standards and monitoring concepts You automate deployments and infrastructure processes using infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform and Ansible - for greater efficiency, security and transparency You work closely with DevOps, security and development teams to design holistic cloud solutions that are both technologically and organizationally convincing Your profile Completed diploma or master's degree with a focus on computer science, business informatics or another equivalent qualification corresponding to the job description Several years of experience in the design and implementation of cloud architectures, including planning, implementation and optimization of scalable solutions In-depth knowledge of one of the leading cloud platforms (GCP, AWS or Azure), ideally with a focus on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and its core services and architectural principles In-depth understanding of modern IT landscapes, particularly in the areas of authentication, operating systems and networks Experience with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes, especially in building and operating containerized applications Confident handling of CI/CD, monitoring and cloud security to ensure automation, availability and data protection Strong communication and consulting skills, both in the technical environment and in exchanges with specialist departments and internal customers Very good German and good English skills Look forward to a subject area with high relevance and topicality Development opportunities and further training gerneperdu: We foster this culture of collaboration in our division Family-friendly offerings to help reconcile work and family life: these include a daycare center, childcare during the holidays, a parent-child office and a family allowance Opportunities for a more flexible and individualized daily routine a ZDF campus close to nature in the heart of the Rhine-Main(z) area with free parking, bike sharing, D-Job ticket and good public transport connections Attractive framework conditions, such as fair remuneration in accordance with the company collective agreement, an employer-financed pension scheme and 31 days' vacation as well as special leave on certain occasions a job with the opportunity to actively contribute to an informed, independent and strong society But that's not all.
