IT Projects and Digitalization Specialist (fixed-term until December 31, 2027)

Location: Stolberger Straße

As an IT Projects and Digitalization Specialist, you’ll actively help shape the digital future of materials management, thereby making an important contribution to supply security and vehicle availability in public transit. You’ll serve as the central point of contact between the business unit, IT, and digitalization, continuously developing the SAP system landscape and digital processes. You can expect a great deal of creative freedom, varied responsibilities, and direct influence on key future initiatives at KVB.

Here’s what you can expect from us:

  • Manage & Develop: You will independently take on the technical management and conceptual further development of the SAP S/4 and SAP BW/SAC system landscape, as well as other IT applications and interfaces, within Materials Management. A key focus of your work will be establishing a uniform and usable data pool as the foundation for consistent reporting and analysis.
  • Evaluate & Coordinate: You will be responsible for the technical evaluation and prioritization of IT requirements, as well as for the independent development and coordination of IT solution concepts. In this role, you will oversee the technical coordination with IT management and external service providers, and be responsible for ensuring process stability and its continuous improvement.
  • Decision-Making & Design: As part of your role as a technical subproject manager, you will help shape the process—from conception to implementation and management—of digitalization projects and conduct necessary training sessions.

What you bring to the table:

  • Qualifications: You hold a degree in IT, logistics management, or business administration. Alternatively, you have completed vocational training and have several years of experience implementing IT and digitalization projects, ideally in the field of materials management. You can demonstrate that you have completed training as an SAP consultant or are willing to obtain this certification in the near future.
  • Experience & Expertise: You have extensive experience in participating in and managing IT and organizational projects. In these roles, you have analyzed IT requirements, helped develop technical concepts, and oversaw implementation in close coordination with business units and IT.
  • IT Skills: You have very good knowledge of SAP applications as well as a solid command of MS Office.
  • Personality & Work Style: You are known for your collaborative and communicative approach to work. For you, teamwork comes just as naturally as working independently and in a goal-oriented manner.

Here’s how we succeed together:

  • Differences? We embrace them! Diversity is our top priority. Because what matters to us is your personality and your skills—nothing else.
  • As part of #TeamHerzschlag, you’ll have the opportunity to actively contribute from the start, develop new ideas, and thrive in your new role. Because together, we’re shaping the mobility of tomorrow!
  • We want you to keep growing. That’s why we actively support your professional development as an SAP consultant through internal and external training courses as well as team seminars.

Pay based on the collective bargaining agreement (TV-N), annual bonuses, tax-advantaged deferred compensation, and a company pension plan
