As part of the strategic development of our IT infrastructure, we are expanding our architecture team. As an IT Architect (m/f/d), you’ll form a strong partnership with another IT architect. Together, you’ll shape the strategic direction of our IT landscape, develop sustainable architectural standards, and support our partners in the public sector in their successful digital transformation.

Responsibilities

  • Planning, implementing, and further developing our IT architecture while taking into account strategic business goals and the requirements of our regional partners
  • Creating and maintaining IT development plans to ensure a standardized and secure system landscape
  • Designing scalable, modular architectures using modern technologies such as microservices, cloud platforms, and containerization
  • Planning and executing IT projects with a focus on integrating new software solutions, hardware components, and platform technologies into existing system landscapes
  • Advising executives, line departments, and partners on technological issues and architectural decisions, as well as conducting architecture and concept reviews
  • Participating in public tenders, particularly in the preparation and evaluation of service specifications and technical concepts
  • Supporting the development and implementation of IT security concepts

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable qualification
  • Several years of experience in IT architecture, ideally in the public sector or on complex IT projects
  • In-depth knowledge of IT architecture, cloud technologies, enterprise architectures, IT infrastructure, and system integration
  • Solid understanding of modern technologies for ensuring availability, scalability, and security
  • Experience in IT strategy development and advising executives on technical issues
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex technical concepts in an understandable way
  • Independent, structured work style and strong teamwork skills
