German Speaking System Engineer

The Leibniz Institute for Analytical Sciences (ISAS) e.V. develops analytical methods for health research. Through its innovations, it helps improve the prevention, early diagnosis, and treatment of conditions such as cardiovascular diseases and cancer. To this end, ISAS combines expertise from biology, chemistry, computer science, medicine, pharmacology, and physics. At our institute, we are seeking candidates for the IT Services team:
IT Systems Engineer (m/f/d) Your responsibilities:
Provision of open LLMs via API interfaces and preparation of usage data for billing purposes
Administration, maintenance, and further development of operating systems, directory services, and backup systems
First- and second-level support for the software in use
A completed degree (university of applied sciences/bachelors/masters) in computer science or systems engineering, or comparable knowledge
Several years of experience in IT infrastructure, networking, or system administration
Excellent knowledge of Linux operating systems, container virtualization (e.g., Very strong expertise in IT security regulations and data protection
German at the C1 level and very good written and spoken English
