Academic councils (m/f/x)
The Chair of Software Engineering, led by Prof. Dr. Thorsten Berger, combines foundational and applied research to automate software engineering for the next generation of intelligent, autonomous, and variant-rich software systems. We explore new ways of software creation, analysis, and evolution. Our application domains are automotive systems, systems software, software ecosystems, and mobile robots, among others.
Scope: full-time
Duration: fixed-term, 3 years

Your tasks:
- teaching (4 SWS) with a focus on courses in Software Engineering
- supervision of Bachelor\\'s and Master\\'s theses
- collaborative research and publications within the Chair\\'s research group
- writing and coordinating grant applications (or contributions to applications)
Your profile:
- Master\\'s degree and doctorate in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Research experience around software engineering, especially in software variability management / software product lines, variability modeling, program analysis, SE4AI, AI4SE, model-driven engineering
- Experience with engineering and empirical research methods
- Prior publications and excellent academic references
- Programming skills, good communication, collaboration, and self-organisation
- Experience with teaching and supervising students
- Experience with institutional service
- Fluency in English
